After sharpening with our HORL ® fine and extra-fine whetstones, with the ultra-fine HORL ® Kagami whetstone you can achieve a completely new level of sharpness that is three times finer than with standard Japanese whetstones - and by so doing attain the top of our HORL ® fine grinding scale.

Using the HORL ® Kagami after grinding and the HORL fine and extra fine whetstones, you can achieve an incredible mirror sharpness that sets new standards in terms of appearance and cutting ability.
1. Sharpen your knife
Make sure that the blade is also free of any burr. Fully use all of the HORL ® Premium Set.
2. Use HORL ® Kagami dry
Further sharpen your blade for at least 5 minutes each side until mirror-sharp.
3. Use HORL ® Kagami wet
Finish off with the HORL ® Kagami slightly dampened and sharpen for one minute each side.
Important:
Clean the blade and the whetstone between each stage with a soft cloth to avoid grinding waste particles in, allowing a mirror-like edge to form.
